Looking to add a little extra love to your family? Every Wednesday, we team up with Pawmetto Lifeline for Wet Nose Wednesday, where we introduce you to an adorable dog, cat, puppy, or kitten that’s looking for a forever home.
You never know—you might meet your new best friend! Tune in each week and check back here as we spotlight a different pet and help local animals find the loving families they deserve.
Meet Malachi & Maddox!
Meet Malachi & Maddox — two playful, affectionate kittens who are truly a package deal as “Priority Pets” at Pawmetto Lifeline. These boys are inseparable best friends, which means when you adopt them, you’re not just getting one kitten… you’re getting a ready-made duo that already knows how to love, play, and grow together.
Their days are a perfect balance of high-energy fun and total cuddle mode. One moment, you’ll find them racing through the room in full kitten chaos, chasing their favorite pom pom balls and proudly showing off their fetch skills like tiny athletes with whiskers . The next, they’re completely melted into each other, curled up in a soft purring pile, completely content just being side by side.
Malachi is often the curious adventurer, leading the way into new playtime discoveries, while Maddox is right behind him, equally playful but just a little extra cuddly when things quiet down. Together, they bring out the absolute best in each other — confidence, comfort, and nonstop entertainment.
When the zoomies fade, they’re all about the cozy life: warm laps, soft blankets, and especially tube treats (their not-so-secret love language ). If there’s a comfy spot nearby, they’ll find it—and they’d much rather share it with you.
Because they’re a bonded pair, they must go home together, and honestly, that’s part of what makes them so special. They’ve already chosen each other… now they’re just waiting for the family who will choose both of them.
If you’re looking for twice the personality, twice the purrs, and twice the love in one perfect little duo, Malachi & Maddox are ready to steal your heart.
Meet Jolly!
Jolly is the kind of dog that makes you believe in joy again.
Pawmetto Lifeline pulled this sweet girl from a local shelter when she was just 4 weeks old, and even then she already had a little extra story to her. Jolly has a congenital neuromuscular condition that affects bladder control, which basically means she needs a tiny bit of help a few times a day to fully empty her bladder—and she handles it like it’s no big deal. She’s calm, she’s cooperative, and she honestly doesn’t seem bothered one bit. Inside the house she wears a diaper because she dribbles a bit throughout the day, but if anything, it just adds to her personality. She is still 100% that girl.
And she is only 22 pounds of pure happiness. Like, this is a full-on joyful, silly, zoomie-loving puppy who wakes up every day like she has somewhere very important to be and people to love. Nothing about her slows her down. She runs, she plays, she entertains herself, and she absolutely lives for being around her people.
She’s also incredibly social—good with other dogs, great with cats, and genuinely loves kids of all ages. She’s the type of dog who just slots right into a family and suddenly it feels like she’s always been there. And on top of all of that, she’s smart. She’s treat-motivated and already picking up basic commands, which makes training her less “work” and more “hang out and reward her for being adorable.”
Jolly is also a “Priority Pet,” which is huge. That means she comes with some really meaningful lifetime support through Pawmetto Lifeline—free annual exams, all yearly vaccines covered, and medications at cost plus 10%. She’s also on a C/D diet for urinary crystal management, which her adopter can get at the same reduced cost for life.
So yes, she has extra needs. But what you get in return is a dog who is all love, all joy, all heart—every single day. Jolly isn’t defined by what she needs. She’s defined by how much happiness she brings into a room.
Somewhere out there is a home that won’t see her condition as a limitation, but just part of the very special dog she already is.
Meet Lipton!
June is Adopt A Cat Month so we want to introduce you to this sweet boy, and his adoption fee is only $25. Lipton is 14 years old and ready to settle down in a cozy, quiet foster or forever home. He is a very easy cat to manage, even with his diabetes. Lipton is super sweet and affectionate. He may be a senior, but Lipton has lots of purr-sonality and love to give. He loves to be held and get alllll the pets. Lipton is always making biscuits to show you how much he loves you!
Lipton takes insulin twice a day likes a champ! No experience with feline diabetes? No problem! It’s all super easy and he barely even notices. He wears a glucose monitor and comes in every 2 weeks for it to be replaced. He is a “Priority Pet” at Pawmetto Lifeline! This means his adopter gets a huge discount (cost + 10%) on insulin and any other medications he may need in his lifetime (excluding prevention) through Pawmetto Lifeline. PLUS — FREE annual exams and core vaccines for life through Pawmetto Lifeline!***
He would love a home without kids or other cats so he can be your king of the castle. He’s ok with those peasants called dogs as long as they do not bother his royal highness. (Bow down and worship!)
Meet Sanders!
Sanders is a 4-year-old Terrier mix who’s available for adoption right now at Pawmetto Lifeline!
Sanders has quite a story. He was found tied up outside in the rain and is believed to have been there for several days. Despite that heartbreaking experience, his sweet personality has never changed! This guy is basically a puppy trapped in a big dog’s body! Sanders is goofy, playful, and always ready for fun. He loves everyone he meets and has an incredibly gentle, affectionate personality. His favorite place? Right next to his people, preferably curled up in a lap he definitely doesn’t fit in.
Sanders also loves toys, zoomies, and spending time with his humans. He occasionally surprises people with enthusiastic full-body hugs, but he’s learning quickly and responds well to training. He’s a smart pup who is highly motivated by snacks. His perfect family is one that is active, spends a lot of time outdoors and loves to play.
The good news? Sanders is already potty-trained and crate-trained. He’s also shown friendly, polite behavior toward dogs of all sizes through the fence. He’s also had some great interactions with kids. He met a staff member’s 10-year-old son and it went very well!
If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a huge heart, a goofy personality, and endless love to give, Sanders may be your perfect match. Sanders’ reduced the adoption fee is $50 – which includes his neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines. Schedule a time to meet him by getting in touch with Pawmetto Lifeline today! Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application online before your visit.
